A glocal network for exploring bodies in the age of computer mediated reality

BODIES-MACHINES-PUBLICS is a residency collaborative initiative between NAVE (Chile), KHOJ Studios (India), Immersive Arts Space/ZHdK (Zurich, Switzerland) and Kornhausforum (Bern, Switzerland), supported by the Pro Helvetia.

Who can apply?

We are interested in the contribution of artists who are exploring the relationship between bodies and technology. Proposals for installations, and/or performative interventions indoors and outdoors are particularly welcome.

The residency contemplates a two-week artistic residency at Centro NAVE (Chile), to be executed in May 2025, which will culminate with an Opening.

In Chile, the project also counts with the collaboration of Goethe-Institut Chile, Museo Interactivo Mirador , Fundación Mar Adentro and Museo del Sonido.

Artistic languages accepted

This open call seeks artists who investigate any artistic discipline that addresses the possible relationships between bodies and machines, such as media arts, visual arts, dance, theater, sound experimentation, performance, music and all imaginable crossovers.

Main requirements

Given the international nature of this call, applications will only be accepted in English through the form. Here you must attach an artistic portfolio, a project dossier, a link to 3 videos of previous works, a travel document (passport or ID), a photograph of the artist and technical requirements of the project.

The selected artists must have a medium level of English. Incomplete or late applications, applications in Spanish or through another platform such as email or social networks will not be accepted.

This call will be available from December 6, 2024 to January 30 at 12:00 PM (Chilean time) 2025.

Residence dates

The residencies for the selected artists will be scheduled between May 2025 at Centro NAVE, Santiago de Chile.
